Chieko says that there is no sky in Tokyo,
Says that she wants to see the real sky.
I look up in surprise.
The sky between the young cherry blossom leaves is
The familiar beautiful sky that I cannot
Be separated from.
The blur at the gray smoggy horizon
Is the salmon-pink start of the morning.
Looking far, Chieko says,
Says that the blue sky that appears every day
On top of Mount Atatara
Is her real sky.
This is our simple story.

If it's the only way to help them, I'll gladly help. It almost feels like our duty to, respect to the ancestors and all."
"But while I struggle, from the outside, it looks like you've got the souls fitted in neatly, transitioning from one to another. Or maybe you're just in better harmony with both those lives?"
